ARPA VIEWER

right_menu

The ARPA viewer was manufactured by Productos Arpa Color S.A. in Cordoba, Spain in the early 1950's. In looks it is, in many ways, almost identical to a Sawyers Model C, but unlike the Model C the body is bolted together and the reel advance lever is slightly larger. There is a surprising weight difference between the ARPA and the Model C, with the ARPA weighing in at 205g and the Model C at a lightweight 170g. The colour of the viewer is a dark reddish-brown.

The crudely riveted reel pull is slightly larger than the Sawyers Model C equivalent.

The ARPA reels are of an inferior quality when compared to Sawyers and GAF reels. All are printed on both sides. The subjects are normally places in Spain and there are thought to have been approximately one hundred different reels available in the range.
