The View-Master Model N was produced from 1992 until 1998. It was only available as a lighted viewer, being powered by 2 x 'AA' size batteries which fit into a compartment on the bottom of the viewer. This viewer is unique insofar as it can be used either using the ambient light or by bulb. It is also sometimes referred to as a grab-light viewer. Early versions of this viewer suffered from a problem whereby the reel did not stop in quite the right position and this caused viewing problems due to poor alignment. It was manufactured in China for Tyco.

The Model N was supplied both in the blister pack  and also in a box set. The viewer shown below was supplied with one free Jurassic Park reel. Stock number was 2053.
